The wine is suitable for cellaring for 5 years and also for
early drinking.
There is a combined elegance, balance and density of fruit flavours,
consistent with long morning and afternoon twilights experienced
in the deep valley situation. No sign of coarseness or imbalance
sometimes seen in Western Australian reds, due to more direct
sun exposure than the vines need.
Production of Pinot Noir Methode Champagnoise is expected to
commence in 2003.
